About Us
Pat's Curios has been in the sewing art since age nine. Playing with her mom's old treadle sewing machine at the end of a dimly lit hall was a treat! From there to 4-H Sewing projects and awards progressed to dresses and outfits in high school and college. Hemming roommate's slacks was interesting during the sixties!A later life career of teaching elementary school used up twelve years and sewing was held to a minimum until marriage and children came. That, of course, inspired fun baby clothes and a class in speed stitch and monogram led to craft shows which opened doors to this art of sewing!
Pat's Curios regularly reviews current trends through sewing and art periodicals, fashion shows, and National Sewing Expos. Artists continually seek new trends and exhibits. Many times though, colors, designs and ideas are obtained from nature and life experiences.
